Silvia Soto

Silvia has been taking intensive training in Spain, Argentina and Canada. Since 2007 she has studied and practiced for 3 months of each year with teachers in Spain and Argentina.
Among other artistic projects she is the co-producer of 4 original flamenco pieces: “Origen” in Argentina, “Flamenco y olé” and “Tríptico” and “Flamenco” in Canada.
Some of her flamenco teachers and perhaps the ones who have had the most powerful impact in her journey so far, and for different reasons, have been: Victor Varón, Paula Gonzalez, Yolanda Heredia in Argentina; Judith García, Jane Ogilvie, Oscar Nieto, Cristina Hall in Canada and Felicia German, Manuel Betanzos, Chiqui de Jerez, Manuela Carpio and Mercedes Ruiz in Spain.
In her opinion there is no question that Flamenco has a universal dimension that allows people from anywhere to enjoy it, to feel it and understand it beyond words, because of the magic that happens with heart to heart connections.
